Adam Costanza - Hired at IFB

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., January 1, 2007 - Adam Costanza, has been named acting President of the Institute of Forest Biotechnology.

Adam is coming off of 5 years at International Paper as a manger of sustainability initiatives for its environmental business services. With a degree in Energy and the Environment / Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester, and a masters in Environmental Management from Duke, Adam is enthusiastic about the future of sustainable forestry and biotechnology.

"The planet need sustainable forest resources for energy, housing, and communication material. Climate change, a population projected to reach 10 billion, and an urgent need for environmentally responsible fuels requires that society leverages all the benefits forest biotechnology can bring."
